CASE STUDY

Game Bird Hatchery Refurbishment and Conversion, Soham, Cambridgeshire

PROJECT SECTOR: Industrial & Logistics
Services Delivered: Project Management

Managed the refurbishment of an existing hatchery facility following the acquisition of the property by a game-bird hatchery operator. The project included the shell and core strip out of the existing redundant building services and finishes, structural reinforcement of the roof supports, alterations to the layout and fitout with new mechanical and electrical services and finishes throughout.

The project was delivered within tight timescales to meet the Client’s need to be operational before the hatching season and required a proactive and collaborative approach between the Client, main contractor and professional team.

We advised the Client on the project scope and approach for the design and procurement of the works before preparing a detailed Specification of Works describing the works to be undertaken, the tender process and the form of contract. We subsequently obtained and reviewed tenders and drafted and supervised the construction works while administering the terms of the JCT building contract.
