Managed the refurbishment of and alterations of this community centre in Newmarket, which had obtained charitable donations to upgrade and enhance the facilities to help secure long-term revenue.
The project scope entailed a wholesale refurbishment of a bar area into a family-friendly licensed café, a refurbishment of the sports hall into a multi-function space and conversion of a redundant bar area into treatment rooms and offices.
We advised the Client on the project scope and approach for the design and procurement of the works before preparing a detailed Specification of Works describing the works to be undertaken, the tender process and the form of contract. We subsequently obtained and reviewed tenders and drafted and supervised the construction works while administering the terms of the JCT building contract.
